Cold be gone smoothie

When ever my kids have cold symptoms, I make this "Magic Juice". It helps them intake vitamin c and smooth their itchy throats.
3 cup orange juice
1 table spoon local honey
1 chopped apple
3 leave of fresh mint leave to taste
1 cup ice
Blend together in Vita Mix or your blender and serve.
Be careful about the amount of mint you use. Don't make it too over powering.

Rice Crispy Cupcake

I'm the rock star for my kids today. I don't usually let them have anything with hydrogenated oil or high glucose corn syrup so regular rice crispy is out of question. For the treat today, I use Kashi 7 whole grain honey puffs, vegan marshmallows, and Nutella- it's healthy enough I don't mind kids ask for second or even eat for breakfast.
Recipe
10 oz Vegan Marshmallow
6 Cup Kashi 7 whole grain honey puffs
1 Cup Nutella
6 pieces Hursey Kisses
Slice almond for garnish
1. Toast honey puff lightly to make it crispy (be careful, the honey on the puff make it easy to burn)
2. Melt vegan marshmallow in microwave for 2 min and stir and reheat until smooth.
3. Add toasted puff into melted marshmallow and mix together.
4. Put the mixture into 12 non stick cupcake pan and press in with hand.
5. While let the rice crispy chill, microwave kisses and Nutella in 30 second interval until melt.
6. Remove crispy from the pan and pip in the Nutella chocolate.
7.Use fork make flower pattern and garnish with slice almond

It's such a simple recipe that kids can help make it and enjoy eating it.
